Because I've pounded on these notes a million times,
And the sound keeps escaping my grasp,
And you looked at me and told me that it was all right
Because it wasn't as if she would have heard it anyway.

Within the hours I never let it down,
I kept on and I beat louder,
But you held me down and kissed me slowly,
And you told me that it was going to be all right, soon.

For I waited hours until you called,
And I never cried longer,
As if it were clear as night and I looked passed the reasons,
Things felt to be neverending and I had hoped that you'd look at me,
And tell me that it was going to be all right.

When I screamed and I begged,
Those walks, those steps, those listenings
Deeply hidden I knew the truth,
Somewhere deep down in there I had convinced myself that everything would be all right.

And then she picked up my head,
And you looked me in the eyes and told me that it was going to be all right,
And you promised it was really you,
And she sang me to sleep, "lets board the ship, baby, and lets set sail for everlasting fate."

I honestly don't even know where to begin to comment and I sat on this poem for quite a while too (20 mins). The first word that comes to mind after reading this is "Comfort".. You could almost see a vivid display of whats going on (I invisioned you, Marco and your mom-correct me if I'm wrong) going through the hardship of moving. Dispite is being a tough time, it seems to be one that would be potientially positive, uplifting one as you deem it "fate". If I'm correct, hold you head up Mel-yes, things may be tough but you aren't going to be separated from the ones you care about most because they won't let you and I know you wouldn't let it happen yourself. I'll talk to you later on today via IM.

It is a form of comfort, but in a slightly different way. The poem is about a young man in love with a girl who's addicted to drugs and alcohol. He's very much in love and is hurt constantly because of what the drugs are doing to him, to them. But, you were right about things being rough and I know I would never be seperated from anyone I care about, especially you
